William 1st 4th of July

We went to Postal point On Eglin AFb to watch the Niceville fireworks show. At the end we had to watch it form the car because it started to rain.

Henderson Beach

A lot of people have been asking us recently if the oil is here at our beaches. We do have a few oil balls that wash on to shore from time to time, but the water is still clear and we can still play in it. So on July 3rd we went to the beach.

Shawn got to play with some hermit crabs and mole crabs AKA sand fleas. He liked it so much that he spent 2 hrs playing with them and then he got the help the park volunteer release them back into the ocean.

What is a trip to Destin without stopping at Bass pro shop and looking at the fish in the huge tank?
The white tent is where the BP beach clean up crew meets and then they rake the beach and pick up all the little oil balls.

More Geocaching

The geocache was at the top of the tree and we didn't know how to reach it. So we decided to send Shawn up.

Here was a huge cache that we found, there was a ton of mosquitoes and Shawn is looking at one one his arm here.
This is at a park in Fort Walton and Shawn thought that the anchor was pretty cool!
